Setup and connections:
TV Tuner card comes with two video cables and one USB cable. USB cable is used to connect the Tuner card with Laptop or computer. Two video cable is used to connect the Tuner card with Setup box.Audio / Video Cable:
You need to plug in the Coaxial cable into Setup box. Now connect both the video cable with Audio and Video connectors. It has three connector, white, red and yellow. Connect the male and female connector with each other. Now connect the other end with single pin connector to Tuner card.
Install the Software which comes with TV Tuner Card.
After installation, you can get the TV Home Media3.exc on your desktop. This is the exec file which you need to run to get the main screen.
Software Setting:
After installing TVHomeMedia3. Run the TVHomeMedia3.exc. Press the AV as shown in below screen. In setting window you can see the different setting for TV tuner. In Window setting you can do the setting related window like full screen, aspect ratio.
Video Setting:
In video setting, you should be able to see the USB TV device. Select the video format as PAL in setting. You can change the brightness, contrast and saturation from this setting.
Audio setting:
Select the Integrated Microphone and Speaker in Audio input setting if voice is not coming. By default It will take this setting you need to do setting but if it does not comes then you can modify this setting.
Recording:
Here you can set the path of the captured image and type of format to capture the image. Same is applicable for video also. you can choose the path of recorded video to watch it later. You can record you favorite TV programs. Generally recorded video will take more space. so make sure that you have necessary space available in the drive.You can use the same tata sky remote to change the channel. You can do multitasking like watch the TV and do work on a computer. You can browse on The internet and watch the TV in tandem. You can see the complete setting and configuration in the videos. You can use this USB TV tuner card for Dish TV, Reliance Big TV, Videocon, Sun TV or any other Digital setup box provider. It supports analog input also. You can use this for Video games also. It works on video input. So it can use for video games. Its available with the remote control that you can use for analog reception. Analog reception means service provided by any cable operator. Then you can connect the Coaxial cable to TV Tuner, you here connected to setup box.
I think it worth to spend only 900 rs to watch TV. There are many other TV Tuner cards available in the market with FM recording. HD tuner card is also available. In India DVB broadcasting is not supported. You can not watch TV free. But if your country supports DVB broadcasting then you can watch TV free. You can get the channel free which is broad casted free. I have seen that if you build UHF and VHF antenna then also you can see the TV free. I have not tried it. I may not work I don't know.
