Today only I passed through the boot camp of Hubpages. I have successfully published 5 featured hubs. I would like to share my view to get traffic to HubPages. I have prepared this as per my experience on HubPages for last one month. This is my first trail to write on Hubpages. Hope you will agree to some extent which I experienced.
- More views, More followers, More Traffic, More Earning
Social Site:
You need to share your hub link on each social site. You can share it in facebook, twitter, Orkut, google plus and as many as you want.
Email your friends:
You can share it via email. So get in touch with your friends tell something about your articles prior to sending emails. You may know the person interest on the related hub topics. if you are not much aware of it then just write small text to your mail saying the topics details.
Comments on related forum or articles
After publish you need to search for related topics on The internet. You can find many forums similar to your hub then your can share your hub link in comment session. This way you will get extra views to your articles. Trust me this will help you to gain much traffic to your channel.
Questions and Answers in Hubs
Ask the Question similar to your hub title. You will get the potentially interested people who can contribute to your hub. You can share your hub link also to facilitate your reader. You can also ask or answers regularly. This will help to get more followers. Many times people will attract to you by your answer or your methods to answer the question. especially new Hubbers will definitely attract towards your hubs. Then there many changes to follow you by that answers. Personally I am also following many people who helped me in some questions. So if you get more followers then there is change to get more views from that people also. If you are continuously asking and answering the question then you can know the person by this profile picture or name also. the similar way other people can also know more about you. And some day they will check your hubs.
Write your hub with proper design and look
The arrangement of text and pictures with respect to your article is very much necessary. Both should be aligned well to get best look and feel of your hubs.
Title of hubs
Title play amazing role to get traffics. The title should be short and used friendly and easy to understand. You can search in google keywords also to get the idea about the title and most searchable keywords. google trends are also useful in this case. You can search your title and get all the available article information about it. So now you can get what people are looking and expecting. So you can add that points in your article to help those people. This will bring direct traffic to your channel. Only just you need to paste your hub link at correct places where people are asking for such information.
Proper use of Images
This point has great potential to gain the traffic to your hubs because a reader can be attracted by two ways only. One is the best title and other is best picture or images. So your choice of images should be great. It will play the very much important role to attract the reader at first look.
I am not going to share the generic way to get traffic like Quality content, grammar etc., I am going to discuss the some contradictory views for getting good traffic. It really works for my friend. And even I am following the people who I have the good profile pic. So I think this should work for many people.
Global Topics
Always try to use global topics on which everyone can get interest. Don't write much about specify to region or location. This will give your opportunity to more people to come to your place. Global topics mean any topics which can be of interested for any country citizen. It can be interested in all religions. Writing on some technology also get more interested until it is more technical to understand.
Writing on different topics
By writing in different topics, you will come across different people who are interested in such topics. To get those people at your hub, you can write articles on the variety of different topics.
Writing the article on HubPages
Yes, you will get good traffic if you will write your experience about HubPages and problems and solution related to HubPages. As always newcomers want to basic information about the HubPages. All hubbers will not read learning center articles. They will ask the question. So you can share your article link. Even in some tutorial also I read that you will get the more views if you write the article on such topics.
Good English
I have observed that many people have the capability to write in their own language, but they can write in English. Really good English can improve your hub standards and viewers. We all want to read neat & clear and interesting articles with useful information. Don't make grammar mistakes in writing. I did mistake in grammar, but now I am learning to write good English. To avoid such mistake your write your article in word or other software which has better spell correction techniques. Then paste the content over here in Hubpages.
Ads on Hubs
If you have eBay & Amazon affiliation, then don't put more than 2 ads on your hub. ads should be relevant. If you don't follow this rule then HubPages will ban you forever for your account. Don't try to use adult ads on your hub. Hubpages are very strict about ads usage.
Don't Ask unrelated Questions
Try to avoid asking unrelated questions. They will moderate your questions if found not valid then you will lose your score. If your question involves discussion the put it into a forum.
Avoid Overly Promotional article
Don't take similar information from any site. If it is contact number or address then try to modify it in your own way to represent the same thing. Otherwise, it will fall into an overly promotional article.
Profile Pic & Personal Hub Score:
I don't know many people will agree to this or not. But I feel that you may get extra followers if your profile pics good or mean to say sexy, hot, unexpected or funny. Maybe beautiful girl picture also gets you some followers. I have seen many comments on such type of hot topics compared to other searchable topics.
Many of the people will first look at the profile picture and hub score. This is a point where there is the highest chance to get the attention to people. If get a good number of followers then defiantly you will get the traffic to your hubpages. I am not joking.. It's really working. Even I did the same things. Most of the people once they start posting they will look at the other hub scores and number of hubpages.
